How are your services different from other web design services?
Not all services or platforms are equal or alike.
We break down web design services into three main categories:
- Using D.I.Y. website builders. This includes platforms like Squarespace and Wix. You can also D.I.Y. on WordPress, Shopify, etc., but it maybe a little more challenging to set-up on your own without any experience.
- Getting a custom website built. Most popular platforms for custom sites are on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, etc. You can also get custom websites built on Squarespace and Wix.
- Getting a semi-custom website with a template. This is what we offer! There are other web designers who offer similar services, but what sets us apart is that we can customize everything at a very affordable rate.

Why are your fees so low? Are there hidden fees?
Our fees are so low because our mission is to make quality websites as affordable as possible.
We’ve been building websites since 2002! After building thousands of sites, our experience has enabled us to efficiently build websites without compromising quality. We want to pass the savings over to you.
We keep our pricing simple and with no hidden fees.
Can you add more pages to my website?
Absolutely!
We can add as many new pages as you need. Your website is your canvas, and you have complete control over adding new content.
If you need more than the 8 hours of customization included with all our packages, we are always here to assist!

What type of customizations am I allowed to make?
When it comes to your content and design needs, the options are endless.* We just have a couple of limitations to make sure your site stays functional and secure.
One limitation that we have are code changes. Do you need to add additional code to your website? We ask that you get in contact with us to either do it for you or to provide a recommendation on best practices. Code changes can break a website and cause conflicts if not done correctly.Another important limitation we have is that we require our customers to inform us of new plugins that they want to install. Here’s why:
- Faulty or poor plugins are responsible for 99% of hacked or broken sites!
- If you need to add a feature to your website, ask us if we have a recommendation. We have developer licenses to many popular plugins so we may have a cost-effective solution for you.
- We provide managed hosting for your website, which means we are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of your website. There’s a lot that goes in the background of maintaining a website and poor plugins will create issues that we can not be responsible for. Downloading an unauthorized plugin will void our hosting agreement. View our hosting terms here.

Will I be able to edit the website on my own?
Absolutely! You own your website and you can do as you please.
Our sites are built using a popular, trusted visual builder called Elementor.
Elementor is incredibly easy to use! But we won’t leave you trying to figure it all out on your own. We provide a Knowledge Base with tutorial videos so you can easily manage your website.

Can I hire you for additional help and customizations?
Absolutely!
We know that a website is always a work in progress, so if you need more than the 8 hours of customization that is included in all our packages, our expert team is just an email away!
Our rate is $140/hour. We only charge for the time spent! So, if we spend only 7.38 minutes on a task, that is what you will be charged for. There is no minimum, so no task is too small! You will be billed at the beginning of the month for any completed work from the previous month.
A few helpful notes:
- You can keep track of all labor time in your WordPress dashboard.
- If you need an estimate on labor time, you can contact us or start a chat.
- If you’re ready to send us a request for the changes you need, please visit our Support page.
Can you give me an example what 8 hours of customization looks like?
Sure! We believe that 8 hours is a generous amount of time to customize a template to fit a business’s needs.
Here’s a rough estimate of what those customizations may look like:
- Upload your log and customize the colors to match your brand’s guidelines
- Update all images for about 5 pages. This includes the search, optimization, and uploading of stock photos. Or we will add your photos!
- Edit and/or create custom, professional content for up to 3 pages. And of course, we can also upload your content as well.
- Add or create a couple of new pages you may need.
- Edit various sections or modules within the template.
How soon can my website be complete?
Once you fill out our intake form and send us all the assets we need to get started, we will deliver a complete website to you within one week or less.
What if I choose a different host?
Our services are only available for people and businesses who choose to host with ShiftWeb.
Doing so allows us to provide you with all the premium licenses needed to build your website. It also allows us to efficiently set-up your website so we can pass the incredible savings to you!
Do you offer custom web design services?
Yes, we do!
We know that our template web design services may not suit everyone, which is why we also offer fully customized web design services. Services start at $4000.
